How to Book a Google Cloud Exam in Australia

Google Cloud certifications are growing in demand across Australia, particularly the Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) and Professional Cloud Architect (PCA). Booking a GCP exam uses Kryterion as the testing platform rather than Pearson VUE.
This guide walks Australian candidates through every step, from registration to exam day.
Setting Up Your Google Cloud Account
To book a GCP exam, you need a Google Cloud Webassessor account through Kryterion. Visit the Google Cloud certification website, select the certification, click Register for the exam, and create a Webassessor account. Ensure your name matches your photo ID exactly.
Tip: Google Cloud uses Kryterion (not Pearson VUE) for exam delivery. The booking portal will look different from AWS or Azure.
Available GCP Certifications
Google Cloud offers Associate level (Cloud Engineer) and Professional level (Cloud Architect, Cloud Security Engineer). Unlike AWS and Azure, there is no foundational-level exam.
Booking Through Kryterion
In Webassessor, navigate to My Assessments, select Register for an Exam, choose your exam and delivery method, select a date and location, and complete payment. Rescheduling is free up to 72 hours before the appointment.
Test Centre vs Remote Proctoring
GCP exams can be taken at Kryterion test centres or via remote proctoring with the Sentinel Secure browser. Australian test centre availability is more limited than Pearson VUE.
